Piccolo Spoleto is back again! The 2011 Spoleto ~EVENTS & SHOWS~
It's BACKKKKKK! Everyone's favorite Lowcountry festival: Piccolo Spoleto. It comes with everything for the entire family, from the shows, to the dances, the exhibits, and is one of the largest events that happens annually in Charleston...And it is well WORTH not just your money, but certainly your time...You just can't miss out on this! So, here's the scoop...
Between the 'old school' charm, the structure of historic Charleston & the European roots that still permeate throughout the streets of the city, mixing in the Spoleto Festival here produces a unique and very fitting synergy for everyone who joins in and experiences this "international multi-arts festival. Mostly, you'll find artists of the Southeast region, but there come people from all over to both perform and ENJOY! Piccolo Spoleto is an amazing time, with its 700 events in 17 days, transforming Charleston into an celebration of performances, along with literary and visual arts. Just a few events at Spoleto include visual arts exhibits, classical music, jazz, dance, theatre, poetry readings, children's activities, choral music, ethnic cultural presentations, crafts, and film. From classical to contemporary, from traditional to cutting edge, one of the unique things about Piccolo Spoleto is the convenience of being able to get there! Half of the events are admission-free, and the rest are offered at extremely affordable prices.
