This 2nd annual event now offers a full weekend of competition on the water!

Participants are required to provide their own equipment. This includes off-road bike and boat.

Event Registration

Full Weekend* Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17
Along with the Folly Beach Challenge on Sunday we are now offering your choice of a Kayak or Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) racing on Saturday!

Folly Beach Challenge Kayak Race Saturday, October 16
New this year in conjunction with the Folly Beach Challenge you can now participate in a kayak race. Awards ceremony will be held immediately following the race at the Folly River Boat Landing.

Folly Beach Challenge Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Race Saturday, October 16
New this year in conjunction with the Folly Beach Challenge you can now participate in a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) race. Awards ceremony will be held immediately following the race at the Folly River Boat Landing.

Folly Beach Challenge Single Participant* Sunday, October 17
Participants will paddle a 3-mile stretch of the Folly River to Folly Beach County Park, then bike approximately 8.5 miles on Folly Beach, and then run a 3-mile section of the beach.

Folly Beach Challenge Teams* Sunday, October 17
Teams of 3 will paddle a 3-mile stretch of the Folly River to Folly Beach County Park, then bike approximately 8.5 miles on Folly Beach, and then run a 3-mile section of the beach. 3 participants required per team .


* Packet pick up will take place on October 16 from 10am-2pm and on race day from 6:30-7:30am at Folly Beach County Park. Online registration will end October 15. If available, late registration will take place on October 16 at packet pick-up. There will be no race day registration. The race will be capped at 300 participants. T-shirts will be available to participants who have registered prior to September 24.
